•  Microsoft Word - to create all your typewritten documents, mail merge, anything from a letter to your life history.

•  Microsoft Excel - do all your calculations, work out your budget, mortgage, and draw graphs.

•  Microsoft Publisher - create Christmas cards, greetings, brochures, pamphlets and all your publishing needs.

•  Paint Shop Pro - import your digital images and enhance them.

•  Burning Software - create backups of data on your computer.

Getting familiar with the computer
•  finding your way around the desktop
•  applying your own backgrounds and screen savers.

Gaining the confidence and not being frightened to look at any area of the computer.

Maintenance - keeping your computer running at its maximum efficiency.

Scanning - slides and negative film as well as other printed work.

Photography - download your photos from your digital camera, enhance and crop them, ready for printing.

Printing - use your special papers and maintain your printer.

Working with floppy disks and how to use a memory stick.

Learning how to "surf the net"

H.S.C.G. was formed in August 1999. We are members of ASCCA (Australian Seniors Computer Clubs Association).

Our clubroom is fully equipped with 8 up to date computers, running both Windows 98 and Windows XP operating systems, 1 laser and 1 inkjet printer and 3 scanners. We have a digital camera for club use as well as a laptop and data projector for group presentations, and we have just switched over to broadband.

We have a small charge for manuals and/or disks.
